No Luck in Murky Water
Q: Andrew:
I have an Eagle Claw Laser Sharp 3/0 hook and a 7.5” Fire and Ice Culprit Worm and I fish in murky water. But, I haven’t had any luck. Can you give me any suggestions on if I’m using the wrong kind of hook or the wrong worm for dirty water?

A: Dustin:
If the water is dirty, you may want a different lure. A 7.5" Culprit Worm is a thin and better suited to stained or clear water. I would suggest fishing bulkier bait like a jig with a rattle with our Tailgate Special or a creature bait Texas rigged. These are baits that move more water and fish can find them without seeing. Fish these baits tight to shallow cover. Also, Fire and Ice is not a good color for dirty water. Use darker colors like Black or Red Shad.
